The Message:
The message spoke about the spirit of joy and how the Holy Spirit is the fountain of our Joy & Gladness.
In Thessalonians 5:16, it says “Rejoice always.” It is impossible to always rejoice everyday without the spirit of joy.
How does the spirit of joy help?
Matt 14:28 (“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”)
Eph 3:16 (I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being)
Prov 24:10 (If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!)
Nehemiah 8:10 (Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” )
The spriit of Joy helps in the following ways;
- It enhances our access to the Spirit of God, as shown in 1 Samuel 30:6-9 and verses 17-20.
- It delivers us from murmuring which always brings complications, 1 Corinthians 10:10.
- It takes the joy of God to guarantee God’s presence, Psalm 112.
